Aditya GadhviSinger. He has released seventy videos in fourteen years, the scarcest catalogue of any Gujarati artist we have measured, and the song that made him a national name lives on somebody else's channel with more views than half his own life's work.
Aishwarya MajmudarPlayback singer. She is the only singer credited on the film that restarted Gujarati cinema, the film that won it a National Award and the film that broke its box office record, and roughly half of that record is filed under a misspelling of her surname.
Anand PanditFilm producer and distributor, founder of Anand Pandit Motion Pictures. His company lists thirty six titles and ten of them are films it did not make, which is the part of the job nobody puts on a poster.
Darshan JariwalaActor and theatre producer. A director wanted him to play Gandhi in a play, lost him to a diary clash, and came back years later with a film so he could finally have him.
Deeksha JoshiActor. In 2025 she put out five feature films in two languages and then started a Hindi daily soap in December, which is what it looks like when an actor refuses to pick a side.

Hemant ChauhanBhajan and folk singer. His Gujarati encyclopedia entry says the most important thing about his singing is that every single word can be heard and understood, which sounds like faint praise until you remember that a bhajan is a text and he is the reason forty five years of them survived intact.
Hiten KumarActor. He carried the reported Rs 22 crore hit that proved the old Gujarati industry still had an audience, then came back a quarter of a century later as the man who destroys a family in Vash, and English Wikipedia still opens his biography with a single eleven word sentence.
Hitu KanodiaActor and politician. A state jury gave him a Best Child Artist prize when he was ten, the Gujarat electorate gave him a legislative seat when he was forty seven, and in 2024 Bollywood decided the only man who could play the part he had just played was Ajay Devgn.
Ishaan RanderiaScreenwriter, director and producer. He spent two films turning his father's stage character into Gujarati cinema's first working film series, and then wrote a third one, from nothing, about a son who cannot talk to his father.
Janki BodiwalaActress. Bollywood remade her Gujarati film with Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan and Jyothika, replaced every other lead from the original, and kept exactly one person: the dental graduate from Ahmedabad whose performance it could not work out how to redo.
Jignesh BarotFolk singer. In July 2025 his family built a shrine in front of their house to a broken Bajaj Super, and that scooter explains his career better than any of the fourteen film soundtracks he is credited on.

Krishnadev YagnikWriter and director. He has written nine Gujarati titles and directed eight of them, and the one he gave away to another director is the clearest evidence of what he actually sells, which is the page and not the chair.
Malhar ThakarActor. Thirty five Gujarati film credits since 2012 is not a highlight reel, it is a work record, and it is the reason Gujarati cinema now has a release calendar instead of a good year every so often.

Mikhil MusaleFilm director and producer. He has directed exactly one Gujarati film, and the fastest way to understand it is not to watch it but to look at where everyone who worked on it ended up.
Mitra GadhaviActor, writer and lyricist. Krishnadev Yagnik cast three men nobody had heard of in Chhello Divas in 2015, two of them turned into the leading men who now open Gujarati films, and the third one took a short film to the Venice Film Festival, where no Gujarati film had ever been.
Mooralala MarwadaSufi folk singer. He is the eleventh generation of Meghwal singers in one Kutch village, his touring band is two nephews and a grandson, and when the only Gujarati film ever to win Best Feature Film needed an opening voice it went to him rather than to anyone in Mumbai.
Nilay ChotaiFilm producer and real estate developer. Six Gujarati producer credits across nine years and not one of them is his alone, which is exactly why the rest of the industry now finances films the way he does.

Vipul SharmaScreenwriter and film director. Almost every writer this industry trains uses a Gujarati credit as a passport to Mumbai, and he is the one who used his to build a company that keeps working in Ahmedabad.
Yash SoniActor. At nineteen he played the same character in a Gujarati hit and in its Hindi remake, and the two sets of numbers that came back have shaped every choice he has made since.
Most "best of" lists are somebody's afternoon and a search engine's guess. This one has rules.
Career facts are verified against published biographies and an IMDb-sourced credits database of Gujarati films. Photographs are free-licensed files from Wikimedia Commons, reused with the attribution each licence requires, never lifted from a press agency. Social accounts are confirmed by scraping the live profile before anyone is called verified.
Box office figures carry the honest caveat they deserve. Gujarati cinema has no certified tracker, so every number here is labelled as industry-reported and given as a range where sources disagree. Where a figure could not be verified at all, the film is discussed and the gap is stated rather than filled with a guess.
An entry only appears if it has verified facts and either a free-licensed photograph or a confirmed account. Anyone who fails that test is left off and named in the page's own methodology, which is why some lists are shorter than a round number.
